Saturday, 16 January 2010 Chelsea v Sunderland, Can only see a home win in this one, Sunderland are wank away from home but i also expected Utd turn Sunderland over when they met at old trafford and the home side grabbed a second goal late on to draw so who knows Everton v Man City, Everton have started to hit some decent form and were unlucky not to get the win at Arsenal last week. Tricky game against City. Think i'll go for a 1-1 Man Utd v Burnley - Looking forward to going to this one even though we'll probably be on the end of a thumping. First game in charge for the new manager so i'll be interested to see if he makes any changes to the side. Cant see him going 4-4-2 . 3-0 or 4-1 to Utd Portsmouth v Birmingham, Away win for Brum Stoke v Liverpool - On the back of an fa cup DEFEAT at home to a championship side going to Stoke would be one of the last places Liverpool would be wanting to go. Missing their best two players aswell and Stoke will be fired up for it. Home win PLEASE Tottenham v Hull, Easy win for Spuds, although everybody thought that when Wolves went to Spurs not so long back. Wolverhampton v Wigan, home win 1-0 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunday, 17 January 2010 Aston Villa v West Ham, Can only see Villa dropping Westham further in the shit Blackburn v Fulham, Away win please. Bolton v Arsenal- Arsenal win

18/1 if anyone fancies the Burnley win... there again, maybe the even money they'll be relegated would be a wiser investment.

The standard of refereeing in the Prem really is atrocious. Any halfwit could see in real time we should have had a penalty there and the t**t books Lucas for diving! We're having appalling luck with decisions at the moment, but that one beggars belief. Not fit to referee.
Other than that...f**k me, Stoke are awful, they're worse than the old Wimbledon teams, ugly, ugly football. I was trying to think how I would feel if, say, Halifax Town had played that way when I lived there and done well. I think I'd tolerate it for a cup tie or two against better teams, but really not sure I could pay to watch it every week. I actually used to watch Stoke when I was at uni there, they were in the old second division then but at least they played football.
The game has all the ingredients of another bad outcome for us - we are totally dominant, have had a bad decision against us and we haven't made control of the game pay. Have seen this so many times this season and it's never ended well.

Why the hell are Rieira, Rodriguez and Aquilani on the bench?
There's not a match winner on the pitch for Liverpool, at all.
And the first half was toss, hopefully the second picks up.

What an absolute joke Portsmouth FC have become. They had the pitch covered all week due to snow, then they got volunteers to remove it so the game could go ahead today but deem it fit to leave the covers off when they know that there was a lot of rain forecast for the area. And this just four days after the team play 120 minutes against Coventry in the cup and four players are missing due to African nations cup duty? How fuckin' apt.
The sooner they go down, the better..

I'll happily take the blame for mentioning Huth there.
Thought Reina was superb all game, Lucas was absolutely hilarious though, didn't look bothered at all.

Awful. We should have buried a shite team like that. And Kuyt should have buried that header. Once again, when it's not going for you, you don't get the breaks - blatant pen denied, hitting the post - but we could and should have won that game comfortably. Gives CITEH the opportunity to open up a seven point gap. Fourth place looking further and further away.

What an enormous kick in the dick. It's not a game we totally bossed but we were easily the best team for long spells. Only really under concerted pressure for the first and last ten. I am naturally furious about the penalty not given in the first half. It is a clear penalty and it is the fifth big decision that Mr Mason has ruled wrongly against us this season. If I ever see him referee one of our games again it'll be too soon.
We should have dealt with the corner that led to the equaliser and Kuyt should have won it anyway (Lucas was barged down as well, that should have been another penalty actually but Mr Mason was never going to give it) but it's almost tear inducing. We deserved a win today, but we've come and had a go and ignored all the parasites in the media and everyone having a go at us with anything but a full strength team. That's not going to get us anywhere though sadly.

Really needed to win that with Spurs, Villa and City also playing shite teams. Fail to beat Spurs and we'll be out of the race for fourth imo as I can't see three teams dropping enough points for us to catch them. According to Andy Gray we haven't challenged for a trophey for three and a half years... A champions league final and 2nd in the Premiership obviously don't count.

"The fans are amazing. If I decide to stay here it will be because of the fans." Rafael Benitez after the game. Is something lost in translation or is he about to quit?

It depends who he was speaking to. It HAS to have crossed his mind at some point. I loved that interview with Andy Burton on Sky Sports by the way. Rafa does not like him and has no wish to work with him. Burton deliberately tries to trip Rafa up, so Sky keep on sending him and Rafa keeps making a fool of him on national TV.

Just watched the Rafa interview and it's been misquoted - "If I decide to stay here it was because of the fans." So it was lost in translation.

6 minutes and it should have been more. Hull were time wasting from the 2nd minute Unfuckingbelievable! They made Stoke look attacking! We were shit though, yes Myhill will get the rave reviews but he only made 2 decent saves, the rest were saves expected to be made. Robbie Keane can f**k off somewhere fast though, useless c**t.

Rafael Benitez has compared Liverpool's current affairs to that of Haiti's. A crumbling shithole full of lifeless bodies where the only hope is money from the US.
