if the stuff i have heard of them on mark radcliffe’s sessions are any thing to go by then they should be a treat

Off to see 📻 radio head in Manchester next week.. Gotta be honest I'd always judged them off a few songs I'd heard and thought shit. Watched them at Glastonbury and they are actually pretty good. So I'm going with a couple of mates
If you\'re havin\' girl problems i feel bad for you son

you will NOT be disappointed mate
they will probably do newer stuff for the first part then move on to their back catalogue
but i used the word probably because RH gigs generally depend on what mood Thom York is in

so...the hope and glory festival in Liverpool
Where do i start?

Saturday started bad but then decended into complete and utter chaos, the Que  to get in ran from the main gate and then trailed right round St. George's hall past the gardens and round to the entrance of the mersey tunnel, it was taking upward of 3 hours to get in for some folk, the knock on effect of this cock up was the police getting involved in the crowd control and sorting the mess out, it later transpired that the event had been grossly over sold and the crowd levels where dangerous in the extreme
a further knock on was they had to cut charlotte church from the line up(no bad thing) but fair play to her when she went and done a commando set at heebbie jeebies
all in all a total cock up by the organisers, and the only saving grace was the quality of the remains Bands,Especialy James who where excellent .
just when you think things cant get any worse Sunday Morning arrives with a tweet for the organisers with the legend,
“Sundays Hope And Glory Festival is canceled” yep... that is the sum total of the tweet, no explanation, no apologies nothing
a complete and utter cluster fuck from start to finish
the organisers have got a lot of explaining to do in the coming days
as for the bands, they are also doing free pop up gigs at various venues around the City who have kindly volunteered their premises free of charge to the artists and the wristband holders
so now i am off to the Zanzibar, which is a cracking little intimate venue, to see Lightning seeds and clean cut kid

Went to see the Foo Fighters last week in Bangkok. Came on stage at 9:30 and banged out all of their hits and then some for two and  half hours before calling it a night at Cinderella O'clock. No encore, which I thought was great as it's a feckin' ball ache clapping and singing we want more all the time. Overall I'd say they were very good live act, Grohl is a brilliant showman, it's just a shame about his voice, if he ain't screaming it ain't working..
